Back in 2008, I joined a Global Young Leaders Conference or GYLC program me in the USA. Back then, I was considered new to speaking English, only started speaking the language daily since 2005 when I first moved to Singapore. I visited a place in Washington D.C. that completely changed the way I see national monuments.

Travel doesn’t mean out of the city

It’s not even a month since my last trip overseas and already I’m hoping to travel again to see things out of the ordinary.

I’m currently taking full-time Chinese course, thinking that if I could at least converse in it, I’m all set to go to anywhere I wanna go! That’s probably the biggest motivation I have, learning the complicated language. Aside from traveling, of course, knowing Chinese would mean better career options for me in the future. Relflection on South East Asia Part 1 Trip

I’m back at home in a typical city environment. The streets are clean and I do feel safer knowing that there is security out there keeping the neighbourhood safe and that people mind their own business.
